Parks and Recreation isn’t the only NBC sitcom that has political guest stars. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi confirmed on Thursday that she will be guest starring in the final episode of Tina Fey’s 30 Rock.
“I would do almost anything Tina Fey asks me to do,” Pelosi, who will likely play herself, told the Washington Post. “I’m flattered that they asked me to make a cameo in the series finale. I had a lot of fun.”
Pelosi’s role was filmed in early December, so it didn’t keep her from her duties in Congress during the fiscal cliff crisis. She has also made several appearances on other TV shows, even acting as a guest judge on Top Chef in August.
The representative from California also joins a list of politicians who have played themselves on 30 Rock. Condoleezza Rice, Al Gore and New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg have all appeared on the acclaimed show.
Pelosi also attended the Kennedy Center event in 2010 when Tina Fey received the Mark Twain Prize.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Ice-T and Julianne Moore will also star in the final 30 Rock episode. The hour-long special airs on Jan. 31 at 8 p.m.
This season, several politicians have also appeared on Amy Poehler’s NBC series Parks and Recreation. Several senators and Vice President Joe Biden have appeared on the show and Newt Gingrich will appear in a future episode.
30 Rock’s final season starts up again on Jan. 10.
