Multi-platinum music producer Timbaland is the newsiest addition to Jay Z’s recording label Roc Nation.
Jay Z made the announcement Wednesday on his website at RocNation.
The deal comes after Timbaland and Jay Z just collaborated on Justin Timberlake’s new single, "Suit & Tie." Their history dates back all the way to 1998 when Timbaland helped produce part of Jay Z’s album, Vol. 2… Hard Knock Life, and since has produced four other albums for Jay Z, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
Jay Z isn’t the only big name Timbaland has worked with. In his 20 years he has worked with big artists such as Janet Jackson, NAS, Chris Brown, No Doubt, Usher, Eminem and that is just to name a few, according to MTV.
Roc Nation was created by Jay Z back in 2008 and manages big talent such as Rhianna and Shakira as well as others. There is no word on what role Timbaland will play for the record label.
