Don’t ask Quentin Tarantino about the correlation between movie violence and real life!
A British reporter sat down the with Django Unchained director when the topic turned to violence, TMZ reports. British journalist Krishnan Guru-Murthy brought up the huge question of the correlation between violence in film bringing out the violence in people in reality. Murthy asked Tarantino, “Why are you so sure that there's no link between enjoying movie violence and enjoying real violence?"
Tarantino then erupted him.
“Don't ask me a question like that ... I'm not biting ... I refuse your question,” Tarantino states matter of fact. Guru-Murthy pressed on asking, “Why?”
“Because I refuse your question. I'm not your slave and you're not my master. You can't make me dance to your tune. I'm not a monkey." Guru-Murthy didn’t back down, explaining that Tarantino was sitting down on “a news program, not a film program, so we explore serious themes."
According to Entertainment Weekly, the British reporter pressed on for four minutes trying to get a response from the high-profile director as Tarantino pressed his main point, “I’ve said all I have to say on the subject… I have explained this many times in the last 20 years”
Eventually the conversation shifted and Tarantino relaxed back into the interview.
