Chicago rapper Chief Keef is being sued for child support and he’s only 17-years-old. The rapper allegedly had a child with a girl who is still in middle school and the girl is suing for unpaid child support.
TMZ is reporting that the girl filed for child support in Chicago, claiming that she gave birth to Keef’s child in 2011. The age of the girl is unknown, but she is still in middle school. She could have been in eighth grade when the child was conceived, but it is possible that she was only in sixth grade.
As Hollywood Life notes, a sexual relationship between minors under the age of 17 is a misdemeanor, even if it was consensual. The older person - Keef in this case - would be charged with “criminal sexual abuse.”
The maximum punishment for this is a year in jail and being a registered sex offender for 10 years, but TMZ notes that these cases rarely get prosecuted. Keef, who was 15 at the time, would only face charges if this girl’s parents press charges.
The girl wants an unspecified amount for child support, medical expenses and health insurance.
Keef, who has worked with Kanye West, Rick Ross and others, was just sentenced to 60 days in juvenile detention for violating his probation in connection with a gun possession charge.
