Rick Ross crashes into building following shooting

Rick Ross crashed is Rolls-Royce Monday morning in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

According to TMZ, the singer was fleeing gunfire when the accident took place. He, along with his passenger Shateria L. Moragne-el, are fine and were not shot during the incident.

A car reportedly pulled up alongside the two, rolled down the window and began shooting. The rapper sped away and smashed into the building in attempt to flee.

Sources revealed to police that during the altercation dozens of shots were fired, however no shots hit the vehicle but instead hit surrounding buildings.

Local10 reports that the police received “several” calls when the shooting ensued around 5am near Las Olas Blvd. and 15th Ave.

A photograph of the smashed up Rolls-Royce has been published on the site. Local10 notes that Ross and Moragne-el recently purchased a home in the area.

Thus far, no one has been arrested in connection with the shooting.

A statement has not been released on behalf of the couple at this time.
