Rihanna is opening up about Chris Brown and their tattered relationship in the new issue of Rolling Stone magazine.
According to US Weekly, the Barbados singer opened up in a new interview with Rolling Stone that she didn’t care what being with Brown did to her public image.
“I decided it was more important for me to be happy.”
She continued to say that she was done letting other people dictate what she did, just because she was afraid of how people would react,
“I wasn't going to let anybody's opinion get in the way of that. Even if it's a mistake, it's my mistake. After being tormented for so many years, being angry and dark, I'd rather just live my truth and take the backlash. I can handle it."
She continued to get personal, explaining that the public doesn’t know what happens behind closed doors. It’s not what everyone thinks. They “value each other and know exactly what we have now and we don’t want to lose that.”
“I’m pretty solid in knowing that he’s disgusted by that.” Rihanna said, about how Brown feels about the 2009 assault.
The full interview will appear in the latest issue of Rolling Stone hitting stands on Friday.
