The initial group of presenters and performers for this year’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony have been announced, and include Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Hudson, John Mayer, and Dave Grohl.
Aguilera and Hudson are set to present inductee Donna Summer, while also performing songs of the disco era. Mayer will join Gary Clark Jr. to perform classics of new inductee Albert King.
Meanwhile, Grohl and Foo Fighter partner Taylor Hawkins have been selected to present for the band Rush and 1998 Hall of Fame Hall inductee Don Henley will induct Randy Newman.
Zap2It reported that presenters for inductees Heart, Public Enemy, Quincy Jones and Lou Adler (lifetime achievement recipients) have yet to be announced.
Although the Hall of Fame is located in Cleveland, Ohio, the ceremony will be held April 18 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Tickets for the induction will go on sale Feb. 1 through Ticketmaster, though American Express cardholders are being offered an exclusive pre-sale from Jan. 24-27.
