Russell Crowe and Dita Von Teese JUST friends

Despite early morning massage sessions, Les Misérables star Russell Crowe confirmed via Twitter that and he the burlesque seductress Dita Von Teese are just friends.

The New York Post reported that Russell Crowe and Dita Von Teese stayed together at the Four Seasons Hotel in December and even received romantic couples massages at 6:30 a.m.

Crowe took to Twitter to set the record straight on his relationship with Von Teese. "Dita Von Teese is brave, smart, sweet and elegant," he tweeted. "She is a friend of mine. Who wouldn't want friends like that? Friends, not lovers." He has since deleted the tweet.

Von Teese is not the first woman Crowe has been linked to since he and his wife of nine years, Danielle Spencer, split this past October.

He was also spotted at the Greenwich Hotel one December morning at 3 a.m., caught up in an “intense flirtatious conversation” by the fireplace with Billy Joel’s ex wife, Katie Lee.

However, he denied those rumors via Twitter claiming, “As soon as I finish this job & can get home, my priority is to try to bring my family back together. These latest reports are false & cruel.”
