Ryan Gosling is speaking out about director Ruben Fleischer cutting out a movie theater shooting scene from his movie Gangster Squad.
Gosling commended Fleischer for doing it, calling it the “best sequence” of the film.
"I was really proud of him because it really was the best sequence in the movie, without question,” Gosling said on Friday while on Good Morning America, Starpulse reports. “The day it (the massacre) happened he wouldn't even dream of keeping it in."
When the incident involving James Holmes killing 12 people and injuring many after opening fire in an Aurora, Colorado movie theater during a midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises occured, Fleischer called for the cast to do reshoots right away.
The Inquisitr reports that the trailer of the film that included the movie theater shooting scene was also pulled immediately after the tragic incident. That trailer was originally meant to be attached to The Dark Knight Rises, ironically enough.
