Olympic gold medalist swimmer Ryan Lochte will star in his own weekly reality show for E! set to premiere this April.
According to Celebuzz, On Monday, during their Television Press Tour in Pasadena, California, E! announced the upcoming series What Would Ryan Do?
The six episodes will begin airing in April, and will follow Lochte in and out of the water. Included are his nights out at clubs, his quest to find the perfect girl, and his journey toward becoming a fashion designer.
“Pretty much, they follow me on my normal day, just training, doing my own fashion line,” Lochte described the show’s concept to Celebuzz.
“Ryan Lochte captured everyone’s attention at the Summer Olympics with his athletic prowess and his utterly unique and unaffected approach to life,” gushed Suzanne Kolb, president of E!. “He is an incredibly endearing personality who is sexy, entertaining and fun,” Kolb continued. “Watching this show, I believe people will fall into three categories: they want to be him, sleep with him or mother him.”
Additionally, Inside TV compares What Would Ryan Do? to MTV’s Jersey Shore. Like the infamous tanned guidos and guidettes, Lochte has his own set of catchy phrases such as the surf-inspired “Jeah”. He has also been named Jezebel’s Sexiest Douchebag in America for reasons such as his American flag grill (pictured above), his giant shoe collection, and his mom being aware of his love for one night stands.
