Sharon Osbourne responds to Lady Gaga's 'open letter' to Kelly Osbourne

By Sarah Burbank-Douglas,

Sharon Osbourne is blasting Lady Gaga following her “open letter” to Fashion Police starlet Kelly Osbourne. The former America’s Got Talent judge slams Gaga for being a “bully,” something Mother Monster stands firmly against.

Gaga blasted Kelly in a letter posted on her website noting Kelly’s struggles with weight loss and stating now that she is thin her work on Fashion Police is based on making fun of others- something Kelly suffered as a young woman.

“It used to make me truly sad when I would hear people talk about your weight when you were younger, as I was bullied too. To see you blossoming into a beautiful slender woman who makes fun of others for a living is astounding. Why not help others? Why not defend others who are bullied for their image and share your story?” she writes.

According to Us Weekly, Sharon took great offence to the open letter and responded to the “Born this Way” singer via Facebook.

In the post, Osbourne links the letter and writes, “I am perplexed as to why you would go public with an open letter. Regarding this current situation; Kelly didn’t contact you, I was the one that contacted your manager today and the email is attached below for your reference. I reached out to him as Kelly’s manager and mother to ask him if you could address your “little monster” fans and stop them from writing libelous, slanderous and vile comments about my family, including death threats to Kelly. Your open letter is hypocritical and full of contradictions.”

A fan commented on Gaga's letter stating that Kelly should just "kill herself."

She continues, pointing out key points from the open letter and presses Gaga to open her eyes about what Kelly does on Fashion Police before slamming Gaga’s infamous dress made of meat and fur coats. Sharon notes that she should be teaching her millions of followers to be kind of animals and that wearing these sorts of items only encourages animal cruelty.

Sharon taunts, “Let me know if you want to continue this debate. I’m an open playing field for you my darling.”

Kelly has only responded to the situation slightly on Twitter, writing, “I hope you guys realize that I don't care about any of this bullshit! I know who I am I don't need anyone to tell me!... love to all xoxo.”

Gaga has not responded publicly to Sharon’s letter.
