Kill Your Darlings, starring Daniel Radcliffe, has been picked up by Sony Pictures Classics, which will distribute the film in several territories.
According to Deadline, the sale was confirmed on Tuesday.
The film stars the former Harry Potter actor Radcliffe, along with Dane DeHaan, Ben Foster, Michael C. Hall, Jack Huston and Elizabeth Olsen. The film was written by Austin Bunn and directed by John Krokidas.
It centers on a murder that brings together Beat generation icons Allen Ginsberg, Jack Kerouac and William Burroughs in 1944.
In a statement to EW, SPC called it an “amazing movie” following its Sundance premiere. “With an ensemble cast that is truly mind-blowing led by Daniel Radcliffe in a profoundly moving performance as Allen Ginsberg, we are witnessing the birth of a major new American filmmaker.”
“It was something new,” the actor said. “But you know what, we shot that whole scene in maybe an hour and a half so it was incredibly fast-paced. I didn't really have time to stop to think and worry about it.”
SPC did not say when it plans on releasing the film.
