The legendary singer Stevie Wonder, who recently appeared at Obama’s inauguration, will perform during Super Bowl weekend.
According to NOLA.com the singer will be headlining at an outdoor concert in front of the Bud Light Hotel on Feb 2.
Jamsbands.com reports the “Superstitious” singer will also have a joint performance with Gary Clark Jr.
This year, the halftime show for the big game will feature superstar Beyonce. Just recently, the setlist for the big show was leaked online.
The performance is said to reunite Beyonce’s girl-group Destiny’s Child, with members Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland said to be on stage as well. The group is expected to be performing hits “Bills, Bills, Bills,” “Survivor,” and the newly recorded song “Nuclear.”
In 2006, Wonder performed at a pre-game show for Super Bowl XL, and even had a duet with Aretha Franklin.The singer also had the honor of performing at Buckingham Palace for Queen Elizabeth at the Jubilee Concert in the summer of 2012.
The singer has won an astonishing 22 Grammy awards, and has even received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 1996.
