Thomas Gibson arrested on suspicion of DUI

Criminal Minds actor Thomas Gibson was arrested for suspicion of a DUI Sunday.

E! News confirms that the 50-year-old actor was arrested around 1am after he drove through a barricade which was set up to keep cars away in preparation for a marathon.

Sources tell Huffington Post that the race had not concluded when Gibson drove through the baracade.

Police pulled Gibson over for trying to travel through the area. He was asked to take a different route, but refused and attempted to continue driving. Police reportedly smelled alcohol on his breath and demanded he get out of the vehicle. The former Dharma & Greg actor refused a breathalyzer test and was arrested and taken into custody immediately thereafter.

He has since been released having posted $15,000 bail. He was released at 1:30pm Sunday.

Gibson has starred in Criminal Minds for seven years, he has also taken on roles in Far and Away, The Flinstones in Viva Las Vegas, Chicago Hope and Eyes Wide Shut.
