Actor Victor Garber has announced he’s gay and living with longtime partner Rainer Andreesen.
The Argo star talked to blogger Greg Hernandez, who asked him to confirm his sexual orientation after reading a Wikipedia page that said he was gay.
"I don't really talk about it but everybody knows," Garber told Hernandez at the TV Critics Association Press Tour in Pasadena, California, E! Online reports. "He's going to be out here with me for the SAG Awards,” he said of Andreesen.
Garber and Andreesen, an artist, have been together for 14 years. This is the first time Garber has spoken about it publicly.
Last year, however, Garber told a Canadian magazine "My companion Rainer Andreesen and I have been together almost 13 years in Greenwich Village. We both love New York."
Garber is a 6-time Emmy award nominee and has played such roles as Jack Bristow on Alias and Thomas Andrews in Titanic.
