Travel Channel’s Samantha Brown welcomes twins

Travel Channel host Samantha Brown announced the birth of her twins, Ellis James and Elizabeth Mae, on Friday via social media.

Brown posted the news on her Facebook and Twitter on Friday:

The babies are here! Please welcome Ellis James 6lbs10ozs and Elizabeth Mae 5lbs12ozs. Everyone is healthy and doing great! Pics soon!

Brown announced her pregnancy with husband Kevin O’Leary in September, as we previously reported.

She talked to CNN about her pregnancy and career in December.

“My husband and I have wanted children now for many, many years, but as I always joke, the best form of birth control is having your own travel show,” Brown said. “So we had to take a little bit of a break from the show to make sure that the babies could happen, and it did. When we found out it was twins, we just felt so blessed because we thought we would only have one child. When you have two, it's like a sale: two for one!”

She also discussed her plans for making a web series about “traveling with children and showing the hardships of it.”

Brown hosted various travel shows and specials for the Travel Channel over the past 13 years, including Passport to Europe and Samantha Brown’s Asia.
