'Twilight' author Stephenie Meyer shoots down rumors of a theme park, says it 'sounds awful'

Stephenie Meyer, the author of The Twilight Saga book series, is shooting down rumors there could be a Twilight theme park.

Fans might have been a little too hopeful about the possibility, with Breaking Dawn Part 2 marking the end of the vampire franchise starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner.

At the Sundance Film Festival, Meyer told MTV News, "It would be so boring! What, would you go to high school? Would you have to go to high school for it? That's not a vacation. Sounds awful. I don't want to go back to high school."

She added, "I guess you could have a mechanical vampire that you ride piggyback...That would be a liability issue, I think. You could fall right off."

Entertainmentwise reports that since the end of the series, Meyer has moved on to another project. She produced Austenland, which is set in the time of Jane Austen novels in the 19th century.
