Vanessa Lachey shares how she told Nick Lachey she was pregnant (Video)

When Vanessa Lachey found out she was pregnant, she was overjoyed her and Nick Lachey’s dream of becoming parents was finally true. She wanted to tell her husband the news in a special way, and she is now sharing exactly how she did it.

In a post on her website, the Wipeout host says after getting married on July 15, 2011, the two tried for six months to have a child. By December, she figured getting pregnant wasn’t going to be easy, so she would just wait until they were settled in Los Angeles and then focus on getting pregnant again.

After deciding to take a family trip to the Bahamas, Lachey told her husband that she would meet him there the next day after filming Live with Kelly. After going out to dinner that night, she writes that “something in my gut said, "Let's go back to my hotel… and pick up a pregnancy test on the way!" Call it a mother's intuition --- IT WAS POSITIVE! I was in absolute shock !!”

She wanted to tell Nick in person, so she waited until arriving in the Bahamas. When she did, she “took a deep breath, grabbed his hands, looked him in the eyes and told him "I'M PREGNANT!!!!" He looked at me and asked if I was serious. I said yes, we hugged, and then he said, "I think I have to sit down!"

One year later, the couple revisited the same place where she broke the news to her husband. She also posted an adorable video of the three (below). She writes, "We will always have that memory together, and now, Cam will have one, too."
