Victor Garber publicly came out, despite being in a relationship with his partner, Rainer Andreesen, for well over a decade.
Victor Garber, best known for his roles as Thomas Andrews in Titanic, Jack Bristow in Alias, and Ken Taylor in Argo, told Greg Hernandez of Greg in Hollywood, at the TV Critics Association Press Tour in Pasadena, California this past week, a personal detail he thought was already completely obvious: he was gay.
When asked about the Wikipedia page which linked him to Rainer Andreesen, an artist and model, for the past 13 years, Garber confirmed the website’s information. “I don’t really talk about it but everyone knows.”
Garber has hardly kept his love life a secret. Last year, he told Forever Young Information, Canada’s adult lifestyle publication, that he was happily living with Andreesen. “My companion Rainer Andreesen and I have been together almost 13 years in Greenwich Village. We both love New York.”
Andreesen also accompanied Garber to the Golden Globe Awards taking place this past weekend, reports People Magazine.
