A video has surfaced of a woman in Madrid who fainted and fell onto a train track just as a subway was about to approach and an off-duty police officer leapt to her rescue.
Spanish police released the video of the woman falling into the train tracks and witnesses rushing around in panic as she lay limp in the track.
ABC News reports that the incident happened on Monday, and the woman is now safe and sound after she was rescued. The police officer jumped into the track and carried her to the far side of the subway line as the bystanders frantically motioned for the subway to stop.
Yahoo reports that the police officer has been identified as Ruben, 38. The incident occurred at the Marques de Vadilla station.
The 52-year-old woman was treated at the scene for minor head injuries but she will make a complete recovery.
