Peter Robbins, the 56-year-old actor who voiced Charlie Brown in classic Peanuts cartoons, has been arrested on stalking and criminal threat accusations.
According to the San Diego Union Tribune , he was booked early Monday morning and is being held on $550,000 bail. His arraignment in court is scheduled for Wednesday.
Shortly after 8 p.m. Sunday, Robbins was taken into custody at the San Ysidro Port of entry at the U.S.-Mexico border, after a security check revealed the warrant for his arrest. His manager, Danielle Matthews, declined to comment on the arrest Tuesday night.
Today reports it is unclear who Robbins was accused of harassing, but it was one single person. He is being charged with one felony count of stalking, and four felony counts of making a threat to cause death or great bodily injury.
Robbins began voicing Charlie Brown at age 9. He voiced several Peanuts TV specials, including A Charlie Brown Christmas, It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, and A Boy Named Charlie Brown.
