Barbara Walters is still in the hospital after falling over the weekend and cutting her forehead.
Since the 83-year-old veteran journalist has so many friends in the industry, many are reaching out to give their well wishes.
Walters’ The View co-host, Joy Behar, tweeted “Wishing @BarbaraJWalters a speedy recovery! Get well soon Barbara!”
Also, Starpulse.com reports The Help actress Viola Davis offered some encouraging words after Walters had to miss the inaugural coverage today.
"Ms. Walters, there will be more historic moments. Not to worry. But in the meantime, we are all so inspired by the standard that you set that we're going to try to put on the big girl pumps tomorrow and see how we pull it off,” Davis said.
Former Apprentice star Marlee Matlin also tweeted "Get well BarbaraJWalters. Yes, it is a good sign that you're on the mend when you're telling people what to do. Good show!"
"Barbara Walters fell on a stair last evening while visiting the British Ambassador's residence and the fall left her with a cut on her forehead. Out of an abundance of caution, she went to the hospital to have her cut tended to, have a full examination and remains there for observation. Barbara is alert (and telling everyone what to do), which we all take as a very positive sign," ABC News' Jeffrey Schneider said in a statement when the fall was first reported.
