In Cissy Houston's memoir Remembering Whitney, she discusses the love and life of her daughter, revealing personal secrets never published before.
We reported on some tidbits from the novel previously. However, new details are coming out concerning Cissy's view on her daughter's ex-husband Bobby Brown.

"I do believe her life would have turned out differently," Cissy writes. "It would have been easier for her to get sober and stay sober. Instead she was with someone who, like her, wanted to party. To me, he never seemed to be a help to her in the way she needed."
Cissy also writes about a time Whitney had a cut on her face, supposedly from Brown. Whitney claimed it was an accident, but Cissy sees the incident differently.
"She seemed sadder after that, like something had been taken away from her," Houston writes.
Perhaps the most bizarre Brown tidbit Cissy recounts in her novel is when she visited Whitney and Bobby's Atlanta home in 2005. FOX reports Cissy saw the walls of their home spray-painted with "big glaring eyes and strange faces." Cissy goes on to say Whitney's face had been cut out from a family picture, which she says was "beyond disturbing." It was shortly after this incident Whitney was hospitalized for drug issues.
Cissy's grief still continues almost a year after Whitney's death.
She writes: "But then I get up out of bed, wipe my eyes, wash my face, and lie back down to my sleep. Because that is all I can do. I am so grateful to God for giving me the gift of 48 years with my daughter. And I accept that He knew when it was time to take her."
Remembering Whitney is on sale now.
