Woody Allen’s next movie finally has a title and the director is again teaming up with Sony Pictures Classics for distribution.
The iconic director’s 2013 release will be titled Blue Jasmine and is set to feature another all-star cast like his last film, To Rome With Love. Alec Baldwin, who starred in that film, appears in Blue Jasmine with Cate Blanchett, Bobby Cannavale, Louis C.K., Andrew Dice Clay, Sally Hawkins, Peter Sarsgaard and Michael Stuhlbarg, reports The Los Angeles Times.
Little is known about the plot, other than that it brought Allen back to his native New York. Scenes were also filmed in San Francisco. SPC describes the film as “the story of the final stages of an acute crisis and a life of a fashionable New York housewife.”
He first teamed up with SPC for 1999’s Sweet and Lowdown and the company has distributed his last four films, including Midnight In Paris. That film grossed $56.8 million domestically.
SPC did not announce a release date for Blue Jasmine.
