2 Chainz and Maryland police photo causes stir

Despite being busted for marijuana possession, rapper 2 Chainz was snapped in a photo with his arresting officers. The question remains, who initiated the shot: 2 Chainz or the cops?

The Los Angeles Times reports that the rapper, whose real name is Tauheed Epps, was pulled over for speeding when cops smelled marijuana. Upon searching the vehicle, police found a grinder and traces of weed in a backpack. He was arrested shortly thereafter.

He was cited and later released, but not before Chainz posed with the officers who originally pulled him over.

TMZ reports that Chainz claims the cops were “f**kin” with him and demanded a picture, which was later posted on Instagram.

TMZ reached out to the Maryland police where a rep tells them, “We cannot confirm who initiated that at this time."

According to Twitchy, the photo has since received over 45,000 likes. A rep for the MD police has released an additional statement regarding the “authenticity” of the photo, stating, “Maryland State Police could not confirm the authenticity of the photograph but is investigating.”
