2 Chainz arrested for marijuana possession in Maryland, cops pose for picture

Rapper 2 Chainz was arrested for marijuana possession in Maryland Thursday. The rapper later posted a picture of him with the cops, who he claims wanted a picture with him.

WBOC reports that 2 Chainz, whose real name is Tauheed Epps, was stopped by Maryland State Police in Easton around 10:50 p.m. last night. Even though seven people were in the car, the Grammy-nominated rapper was the only one they arrested.

According to TMZ, he was the one who had the marijuana on him and he was charged with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.

He was released with a citation. Still, he complained about the entire ordeal on Twitter. “We to jail for a grinder??? REALLY???” he wrote.

Later, 2 Chainz wrote that a member of his entourage told police that he was the one smoking, but they still arrested him.

On Instagram, he posted a photo with two officers, writing, “Locked me up and then Wanted pictures smh.”

TMZ later contacted the police department, who wouldn’t say who took the photo. “We cannot confirm who initiated that at this time,” a state police rep said.

2 Chainz was in the area to perform at University of Maryland Eastern Shore’s homecoming event.
