Adam Sandler is confirmed to be in as yet untitled romantic comedy about blended families. It is very possible that Drew Barrymore will play the female lead, which will mark the third cooperation between Sandler and Barrymore.
The title was originally called Blended, talking about a man and a woman, trapped with their children after a disastrous date.
Happy Madison and Gulfstream Pictures are producing the film. The director is not confirmed yet. The female lead role was previously attached to Sandra Bullock, but now is rumored to be Drew Barrymore. If Barrymore joins the team, this will be the third time Barrymore and Sandler play a couple on screen after The Wedding Singer and 50 First Dates, reported The Hollywood Reporter. Both movies were big hits.
Sandler’s next film is a western comedy, The Ridiculous 6, which is postponed because of the script revisions, according to Variety. Sandler will be seen in Sony’s Grown Up 2, which will be in theaters on July 12, 2013.
