Adele denies criticizing Chris Brown for not giving Frank Ocean a standing ovation when he won for Best Urban Contemporary Album.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words. In the case of the photo of Adele and Chris Brown at the Grammys, many speculated she was chastising him because he did not stand along with the rest of the audience to applaud Frank Ocean for winning Best Urban Contemporary Album.
However, Adele took to Twitter to reveal the true context of the photo in question. “Chris Brown and I were complimenting each other in that photo actually!”

Granted, not only were Brown and Ocean competing in the same category, but they also were involved in a scuffle not too long ago.
In January, we reported that Chris Brown and Frank Ocean had gotten into a brawl over a parking spot outside of a recording studio.
Ocean took the high road and did not press charges, commenting on his Tumblr account:
“As a child I thought if someone jumped me it would result in me murdering or mutilating a man. But as a man I am not a killer, I’m an artist and a modern person. I’ll choose sanity. No criminal charges. No civil lawsuit. Forgiveness, albeit difficult, is wisdom. Peace, albeit trite, is what I want in my short life. Peace.”
What do you think of Brown’s reaction to Ocean’s win at The Grammys?
