Alec Baldwin’s altercation with a NY Post reporter and photographer is now being investigated as a hate crime, reports state.
Baldwin got into a verbal altercation with the Post’s Tara Palmeri and photographer G.N. Miller while the 30 Rock actor was walking his dog. Palmeri was seeking a comment regarding Baldwin’s wife, Hilaria Thomas' lawsuit when he allegedly yelled that he wanted to “choke her to death.” The photographer claimed that Baldwin hurled racial slurs at him, calling him a “coon,” “crackhead” and a drug dealer.”
A rep for the NYPD tells Fox News’ Fox 411, “Our hate crimes task force is reviewing the case.”
However, last night it was reported that the audio tape which allegedly hears Baldwin calling Miller these names in fact proved that no such racial slurs were on the tape.
Baldwin stood firm that he never uttered the words, telling Gothamist, “If you want to put words in my mouth...I've certainly had my moments. But this is not one of them. I don't think I've ever uttered a racial epithet to someone in my lifetime."
Baldwin and the Post’s Miller and Palmeri have filed harassment suits against one another.
