As 2012 rang to a close, Irish musical starlet Janet Devlin finally raised the money to fan-fund her first official album via PledgeMusic.
Ireland has produced a gem in Devlin. The teenage contestant from the 2011 cycle of Britain's X-Factor hypnotized fans when she auditioned for the UK reality show. Her voice was sincere, potent and with her Irish lilt she left many wanting more. Now, they have it — Devlin's fans raised money to fund the release of her debut album, Entertainment Wise reported.
According to Digital Spy Devlin will use the funds to team up in the studio with British songwriter Eliot Kennedy.
While Devlin’s phenomenal performances on X-Factor were received without a record deal — the singer only made it through week eight — as of now her official YouTube channel has reached 10.5 million views and 105,000 subscribers.
Devlin will award the dedicated fans who supported her original album by offering free downloads to all who donated, and more personal gifts such as signed copies to larger donors.
