Anne Hathaway appeared on The Tonight Show where she discussed her disastrous experience at the BAFTA awards in London with Jay Leno.
According to USA Today the Les Miserables actress endured disaster after disaster while attempting to attend the awards which resulted in fans booing the award winning actress.
She explains that the day started off with her catching the flu followed by custom made gown’s zipper breaking off. “This dress had been custom made for me. ... It was so wonderful. And the zipper broke! ... My stylist went 'Oh God,' and literally ran out of the room. I don't know where she went. She just ran away."
Hathaway notes that her team spend two minutes and two extra dresses trying to get her ready, but by then she was extremely late.
"I was so late that I had to run straight down to the end of the carpet and miss all the interviews. And, the worst part was, I missed the fans — signing (autographs). They're out in the cold and the rain and the sleet, and they booed me! ... So, I got booed, my dress ripped and I had the flu."
Despite her less than stellar time in London, The Devil Wears Prada actress revealed her plans for Valentine’s Day with husband Adam Shulman, New York Daily News reports. Hathaway and her new hubby will attend an event for Eve Ensler's One Billon Rising which reportedly using dancing help end violence against women.
Leno and Hathawy did their own dance for the cause as the day changed over to Feb. 14 during the show.
