Anne Hathaway caught the musical theatre bug after starring in December’s “Les Miserables.” She has her eye on more musicals in the future.
“Les Mis” director Tom Hooper premiered his movie at Berlin’s film festival. During press rounds, Hathaway expressed an interest in more movie musicals.
The Associated Press reports Hathaway saying, “I’m a big fan of them [musicals], so that would make me very happy both as an actress and as an audience member.”
However, fans should not expect Hathaway to stick to just singing. She told the press, “I have no plans for recording an album.”
It turns out that, even though Hathaway dazzled on screen as the beautiful and tragic Fontaine, she still is not comfortable singing in front of a live audience.
We recently reported Hathaway had to beg for her role in “Les Mis.” However, with a Screen Actors Guild award, a Golden Globe, and a front-runner for the Oscar, it looks like her musical pleading days are over.
“Les Mis” is still playing in theatres nationwide.
