Backstreet Boy Nick Carter is engaged

Nick Carter of boy-band The Backstreet Boys is officially off the market.

According to Perez Hilton, the singer just posted a tweet with a picture of the couple with the caption, "Big question...great answer.”

Carter told People he had been planning his proposal for weeks. The star shared, “I had the ring in my pocket for two weeks. I was like, 'I don't want it anymore!' It was driving me insane. I just wanted to get it out of my hands and on to hers."

The singer took now-fiancee Kitt on a vacation to the Florida Keys with a few close friends and Kitt's father.

People reports that Carter proposed in traditional style, down on one knee, and presented the ring, a seven-carat diamond.

Kitt, a fitness expert gushed about the moment saying, “I wasn't expecting it. It just felt very surreal. We both are just so happy in love right now and on cloud nine."

The happy couple haven't started to plan their big day yet, as The Backstreet Boys are celebrating their 20th anniversary with a new album and tour this summer.

Kitt doesn't mind the delay saying, “We're just excited and looking forward to the next chapter of our lives."
