Beach Boys front man Brian Wilson made it very clear backstage at the Grammys Sunday that the band will probably not reunite again. On a lighter note, the Beach Boys did win a Grammy, albeit untelevised.

Wilson took the stage and accepted the off-camera Grammy for Best Historical record. Surprisingly, this is only the second Grammy that Wilson has won, Forbes reported.

The Grammy is for the 2011 release of the Beach Boys compilation box set, Smile Sessions, credited to Wilson.

Members of the original Beach Boys toured as recently as summer 2012 for a 50th anniversary reunion. But according to several reports the band had a falling-out during the tour that left a rift among its members.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, when asked about a possible Beach Boys reunion backstage, Wilson quickly answered, “I doubt it, no.”

Wilson, speaking to the media at the Staples Center pressroom, said that he is still recording new work “from scratch.”
