Ben Affleck shaves beard hours after Oscar win, reports state

Following his huge Oscar win, Ben Affleck is shaving his Argo beard.

According to TMZ, the Oscar winning director shaved his now-famous beard just hours after taking home the golden statute.

In fact, Affleck is said to be so excited for the win that he didn’t shave the beard at home, but instead in the hallway of Craig’s restaurant at the Oscars after party. Sources tell TMZ that Affleck opted to chop the beard off in the hallway simply because a plug was available.

As we previously reported, Affleck’s Argo took home Oscar for Best Picture which was presented by the First Lady, Michelle Obama.

Together with friend George Clooney and Grant Heslov, the men took home the honor.

Argo’s Chris Terrior took home the Oscar for Adapted Screenplay for the film, as did the editing team.

Affleck is slated to star alongside Justin Timberlake, Gemme Arterton and Oliver Cooper in Runner. Runner hits the big screen September 27.
