When Beyonce sat down with Oprah Winfrey for an episode of Oprah’s Next Chapter, the ladies touched on an array of subjects.
One topic of discussion they had, however, was Beyonce’s 57-pound weight gain when she was pregnant with her daughter with Jay-Z, Blue Ivy.
She laughed that she was overly optimistic about getting back out there and performing after giving birth, telling Winfrey “I did a show three months after giving birth, which was crazy," adding, "I had clearly never given birth, and I didn't know that I would gain 60 pounds—57 pounds."
E! Online reports that Beyonce dished that she was eager to find out if she still had a “zest” for performing.
As it turns out – she did.
"I feel so fortunate to do my job. I love my job," Beyonce said. "I love singing. I love the way it feels."
Another part of her life that she’s fortunate about is her life with her husband, Jay-Z. "I would not be the woman I am if I did not go home to that man," she gushed, saying it "just gives me such a foundation."
She added "That foundation is so important in a relationship and just to have someone that you just like, you know..., is so important and someone that is honest,” AceShowbiz reports.
Beyonce touches on a lot of other personal subjects in her HBO documentary Life is But a Dream, which premiers Saturday, February 16.
