Singer/actress Beyonce Knowles plans to reveal more of her private life than usual in her upcoming HBO documentary.
The Huffington Post reported that the superstar, 31, opens up about the miscarriage she had to endure in 2011.
Her husband, Jay-Z, made reference to the tragedy in the song ‘Glory,’ but Beyonce remained silent on the subject until recently.
"About two years ago, I was pregnant for the first time. And I heard the heartbeat, which was the most beautiful music I ever heard in my life," she said in a scene in the documentary Life Is But a Dream. "I envisioned what my child would look like ... I was feeling very maternal.”
But, according to the Examiner, a later checkup in New York did not detect a heartbeat.
Beyonce dealt with such a loss with something she knows quite well - her music.
"I went into the studio and wrote the saddest song I've ever written in my life ... And it was the best form of therapy for me, because it was the saddest thing I've ever been through," she said.
Happily, Beyonce would go through a successful pregnancy later on, which ended with the birth of her daughter Blue Ivy in Jan. 2012.
Dream airs Feb. 16.
