Beyonce is one of the biggest stars in the world, but her fast-paced lifestyle is something she doesn’t want her daughter, Blue Ivy, to be exposed to too much since she's just a baby.
The 31-year-old “Crazy in Love” singer opened up to Vogue magazine about her 1-year-old daughter. Blue, whom she calls her “homey” and her “best friend,” saying she has become most important to her so she just wants her daughter’s childhood to be as normal as possible.
“It’s very important to me that my daughter is able to experience life and run through the sprinklers and have slumber parties and trust and live and do all the things that any child should be able to do,” she said. “School visits and lemonade stands and all that stuff. It’s very important for me.”
Beyonce says a normal life is important because when it comes down to it, fame doesn’t really matter.
“I feel like I have something that has grounded me so much more,” she said. “Family has always been important. I’ve always had my mother and my father and my husband. But it’s just. . . .Life is so much more than. . . It’s not defined by any of this.”
According to E! News, the “this” she is referring to is money and fame.
