The Black Keys had a successful night at the Grammys, winning all the awards in the rock category. The award show in Los Angeles featured a performance by the two-man blues-rock band alongside Dr. John and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band.
The "Keys" had a successful year after their release of the 2011 album El Camino, which won Best Rock Album, Sunday. “Lonely Boy,” one of the hit tracks on the album, won Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song.
The group toured heavily in 2012, headlining last year’s Coachella festival and selling out a Madison Square Garden show within a matter of minutes.
Singer and guitar player Dan Auerbach took home an individual Grammy for Producer of the year as well.
According to MTV News, the group was announced as the winner of Best Rock Song during the pre-Grammys telecast, beating out former winners Bruce Springsteen and Jack White. According to the article, the group is planning on releasing their new album in March.
The duo spent much of 2011 recording El Camino in Nashville, Tennessee, according to American Songwriter.
