Brad Pitt’s ‘World War Z’ Super Bowl teaser hits the web (Video)

By Daniel S Levine,

The 30-second teaser for World War Z, the Brad Pitt-starring zombie apocalypse epic, hit the web on Apple today. The spot will also air during the Super Bowl on Sunday.

It was posted at Apple and follows the release of the full-length trailer back in November. The teaser features many of the same scenes, with Pitt in a car with his family in New York. As the world crumbles around him, he has to save his family. Unfortunately, the zombies have already overtaken the East Coast and China has gone dark.

According to The Los Angeles Times, the film was directed by Marc Forster, whose credits include Quantum of Solace, Monster’s Ball and Finding Neverland. The film is based on Max Brooks’ hit novel of the same name. The Killing’s Mireille Enos also stars as Pitt’s wife.

The Huffington Post notes that the film was supposed to be out last December, but it was ultimately pushed back to this June after Damon Lindelof was brought on to make script changes.

The first official trailer was released back in March.
