Britney Spears’ publicist shuts down Eve’s claim that Spears’ voice was not on the "Scream & Shout" track.
According to MTV, rapper Eve had doubts about Britney Spears’ involvement in the song “Scream & Shout” while appearing on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live.
On Tuesday night's show, host Andy Cohen was questioning Spears’ British accent in the video when Eve jumped in.
“I heard that might not be Britney,” Eve blurted out on air.
Britney Spears’ publicist, Jeff Raymond, quickly dismissed the rumor.
“It’s absolute BS. Britney sang the song. Will.i.am wanted her for this song and she sang on it,” Raymond responded to TMZ.
An inside source from the recording studio commented, “Was Eve even in studio? Didn’t know. She’s clearly jealous. I didn’t even know she still sings.”
The new remix of “Scream & Shout," featuring collaborations with Lil Wayne, Diddy, Hit-Boy, and Waka Flocka Flame, was released online a day earlier than planned by Spears via Twitter. Digital Spy reveals that Billboard announced that because the tracks are so different, the remix will chart separately from the original.
