CBS warns celebrities to dress up appropriately for the Grammys

By Gavriella Tjandra,

Grammy Awards broadcaster CBS has warned all celebrities to dress up decently, covering breasts and buttocks areas, for the event on Sunday.

CBS' Department of Standard and Practices makes it clear via e-mails to all people connected to the celebrities, who are expected to appear on camera during the broadcast, to dress up appropriately as it is not taking any chances with the FCC this year, TMZ reported.

The e-mail says, "Please be sure that buttocks and female breasts are adequately covered," adding, "Thong type costumes are problematic. Please avoid exposing bare fleshy under curves of the buttocks and buttock crack."

The letter continues, "bare sides or under curvature of the breasts is also problematic. Please avoid sheer see-through clothing that could possibly expose female breast nipples. Please be sure the genital region is adequately covered so that there is no visible 'puffy' bare skin exposure. Please avoid commercial identification of actual brand name products on T-shirts. Foreign language on wardrobe will need to be cleared. Obscenity or partially seen obscenity on wardrobe is unacceptable for broadcast. This as well, pertains to audience members that appear on camera."

In the previous year, there were a number of artists who dressed up almost scantily clad to the awards show, The Daily Mail reported.

Fergie, for instance, wore a totally see-through dress.

And Rihanna, whose dress would be totally forbidden for this year's event.

Let's hope the celebrities participate in keeping the event for the general audience!
