Chris Brown to seek legal action, claims paparazzi caused car accident

Rapper Chris Brown was in a car accident Saturday afternoon, and now the controversial musician is blaming paparazzi for the accident, threatening a lawsuit.

Brown claims he was persued by paparazzi when his car smashed into a wall. His rep followed with a statement, which reads, “The occupants jumped out, with cameras, and aggressively approached his vehicle. In an effort to remove himself from the situation, he began to back down an alley at which point his was cut off by two additional vehicles."

His black Porsche was towed from the scene of the accident. According to TMZ, Brown’s rep has now informed that the “Don’t Wake Me Up” singer plans to sue the photographers involved for causing the accident, but paparazzi refute his claims saying they arrived after Brown’s accident.

Brown’s rep tells TMZ, "We plan on seeking criminal charges and holding them civilly liable."

Police have not released further details to clarify if it was in fact the photographers’ fault.
