‘Cloud Atlas’ releases Blu-ray in May

It has been months since the theatrical release of Cloud Atlas. Warner Brothers has announced that the film will hit Blu-ray, DVD and digital download on May 14.

Cloud Atlas contains several different stories in different times and spaces, and the stories are related to each other. Directed by Tom Tykwer and Andy and Lana Wachowski, the movie has a long list of famous actors around the world, including Tom Hanks, Halle Barry, Jim Sturgess, Hugh Grant, Xun Zhou and Susan Sarandon. Each actor or actress plays several characters in the movie.

However, the film's box office sales are not that great. It has only brought in $27 million in the United States, according to Cinema Blend.

The Blu-ray will not only have deleted scenes and audio commentary, but also a list of featurettes of the adaptation from the book to the film and interviews with actors. The Blu-ray extras include “Everything is Connected,” “Spaceships, Slaves and Sextets” and “The Bold Science Fiction of Cloud Atlas,” reported IGN.

The Blu-ray combo pack will retail at $35.99 and the DVD will be $28.98.
