Dan Auerbach of Black Keys headed for divorce following successful night at The Grammys

Fresh off their celebratory Grammy win, sad news has struck the Black Keys as singer Dan Auerbach is set to divorce wife Stephanie Gonis.

Sources confirm the news of the split with Us Weekly, noting the impending divorce was the reason why Gonis wasn’t at Auerbach’s side for the Black Keys’ three wins.

“Dan's wife wasn't there [at the ceremony] because they are going through a divorce,” the source confirms calling the split “unfortunate.”

According to Hollywood Life, Auerbach and bandmate Patrick Carney kept their Grammy Award acceptance speech light and simple, thanking their team and professional partners and not once mentioning specifically Auerbach’s wife and four-year-old daughter.

They did thank “everybody in Akron, Ohio and everybody in Nashville.”

The Black Keys took home Grammys in their respective rock categories including Best Rock Album and Best Rock Performance for “Lonely Boy” in addition to Auerbach taking home the award for Producer of the Year.

Following their award winning album, the Black Key's already have a follow-up album releasing this year.
