Season 16 of the celebrity dancing competition Dancing with the Stars is quickly underway. The announcement of the full cast suggests the competition for the mirror ball is sure to be hot with this season.
The cast of the 16th season was revealed Tuesday, February 26. E! News provided the list of the cast and who each star will partner up with.
Ingo Rademacher, American Idol alum Kellie Pickler, Olympic skater Dorothy Hamill, Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman, Victor Ortiz, Zendaya Coleman, controversial comedian Andy Dick, Baltimore Ravens football star Jacoby Jones, Wynonna Judd, D. L. Hughley and reality star Lisa Vanderpump will be competing.
E! caught up with Judd, who expressed that she is “scared to death.” So why did she opt to do it? “They've asked me for six years, and now, I'm trying to get back to my original weight of 8 pounds,15 ounces," she quipped. “It's the year of doing things that scare you—I'm scared to death!"
Fans will not see the return of Dancing alum Maksim Chmerkovskiy. He stated that he plans to seek other avenues in a statement released Tuesday.
"I've been a pro dancer on the show for about seven years now and am eager to explore other opportunities that have been made possible because of Dancing with the Stars. I'm going to take this time to dive into producing and acting, while fulfilling my sponsorship obligations,” he explained.
