Arguably one of the most beloved television couples are Ross and Rachel from Friends, played by David Schwimmer and Jennifer Aniston.
Now, Glee’s Darren Criss is comparing his on-screen same-sex relationship with Chris Colfer (Kurt and Blaine) to them. He says that their on-again, off-again nature and suspenseful storyline is reminiscent of Ross and Rachel’s, who didn’t officially get back together until the last episode of the series.
"Yeah, of course! That's like, ‘Duh!'…It's like Ross and Rachel,” Criss told E! Online when asked if the on-screen love interests have a real connection. “You set up your couple that needs to be together and it's about the journey. You gotta wait till the last sort of minutes to have the full-blown reunion."
Currently, Kurt and Blaine aren’t together, as Blaine revealed his infidelity. Kurt now has a new love interest, Adam, played by Oliver Kieran-Jones, and Criss is surprisingly rooting for him.
"I hope that goes well! I love [Oliver]. I hope they get to continue,” said Criss. “I just hope they have me on the show…That's what I'm interested in. I'm selfish."
