Rules of Engagement star David Spade and Rachael Harris, known for playing the wife of Ed Helms' character in The Hangover, have been chosen to star in a new comedy for ABC, titled Bad Management.
TV Line reports that Spade will play nephew Tobias Jr. to a pompous female department store boss. Once his character arrives, he tries to flip her store upside down by instead promoting seduction and youthfulness. Harris will play store employee Lisa.
According to Entertainment Weekly, besides portraying the store boss, Sharon Horgan is also the writer and executive producer of the show.
While both of the stars have interest in shooting the pilot, Spade's CBS comedy Rules of Engagement is still airing. Entertainment Weekly reports that the series, which is in its seventh season, is often not given a season renewal till the end of the season. If the sitcom does get renewed for an eighth season, ABC will have to find a replacement for Spade.
As of late, it has been rumored that Spade's sitcom will come to a close, being that the main actor's contracts have ended, but there has yet to be an official word on its fate.
