DC Comic Book to kill off Robin

By Sarah Burbank-Douglas,

Batman’s sidekick, Robin, will see his demise during a battle with an evil enemy, set for publication Wednesday.

New York Post confirms that Robin will be killed from the DC Comic book in Batman, Incorporated No. 8 after a battle with an enemy, as confirmed by the publisher.

Grant Morrison explains, “He saves the world. He does his job as Robin. He dies an absolute hero.” According to Morrison, Robin will meet his demise by an assassin who appears as someone else, who is in fact a clone.

Batman unfortunately arrives too late.

Robin, whose real name is Damian Wayne - the illegitimate son of Bruce Wayne and Talia, is slated to have a death which is both symbolic and tragic.

“It’s all about the family and the family going to hell….The two adults in the story are both culpable. The kid’s the good guy.”

Morrison has released a length essay on his story of Batman on DC Comics website, slated for release Feb. 26.
