Demi Lovato is getting back into the swing of the things. Since the 20-year-old songstress has been busy judging on The X Factor and making other people’s dreams come true, she has taken a break from her own music.
That break is over.
Lovato announced a few days ago that she would be releasing her latest single on March 4, according to MTV.com, but she surprised fans Sunday night with the track.
Demi stopped by Ryan Seacrest’s radio show to debut the new track titled “Heart Attack.” Both Lovato and Seacrest tweeted the link to the song saying “Surprise!” reported by E! News.
“Heart Attack” is very catchy and upbeat, a world of difference from her single “Skyscraper,” which put Lovato back on the map two years ago after a stint in rehab.
Lovato told MTV about her qualms about releasing this track.
"But, she's terrified and, by 'she,' I mean me. But, I think everyone comes to a point where they feel very vulnerable in falling in love and that's what I'm talking about."
This is the first single off Demi’s upcoming 2013 album.
